The Sears Tower (eat it Willis!) is having glass balconies on the 103rd floor. Stupid. Pure stupidity at its finest. I hate this idea. I think it is rotten. I hate it more than I hate spiders and Nazis. The only thing that could make this worse is if two nazi spiders were making out in the corner of the balcony.
Thanks Associated Press for wasting my time with this idea. You remember that movie Contact where Jodie Foster makes that huge ball to travel into space? That was a great idea, wasn’t it? Oh no. It wasn’t. It was stupid! Stupid! Almost as stupid as the glass balconies on the Sears Tower.
CHICAGO – Visitors to the Sears Tower’s new glass balconies all seem to agree: The first step is the hardest.
The balconies are suspended 1,353 feet in the air and jut out four feet from the building’s 103rd floor Skydeck. Their transparent walls, floor and ceiling leave visitors with the impression they’re floating over the city.
