Satisfy your lust for world liberation
I found this gem in a local Chicago game store the other day. It’s exactly what is sounds like, a tongue and cheek board game about the War on Terror. According to the back of the box you can:
Fight Terrorism, fund terrorism, or fight the terrorism you funded. All you need is a drive for world liberation.
Gameplay looks pretty simple from scanning the rulebook. Everyone starts out as a peaceful nation. Soon you discover that someone else has more oil and stuff than you, so you declare war to liberate them. Since only the biggest and most powerful Empire can liberate everyone, you strive to become just that.
At $50 it’s too rich for my blood,, but it looks like a blast. I’d consider it, but no one I know even plays board games anymore. Does anyone play board games? I’d be in next time.
I hadn’t thought about it much before, but game designer would be a pretty sweet job.
