I use music a lot to get pumped up. I figured inspiration week would be a good time to share my pump up favorites, and maybe get some suggestions for songs to add. If you’ve got a favorite song for different pump up situations, put it in the comments.

Early Morning

  • You Can’t Always Get What You Want – Rolling Stones
  • Suite Judy Blue Eyes – CSNY
  • Honk and Wave – Limbeck

Before an Audition/Job Interview/Show

  • Back in Black – AC DC
  • Ping Island Theme – Life Aquadic Soundtrack
  • Dual of the Fates – Star Wars Episode I Soundtrack
  • Weapon of Choice – Fatboy Slim

I like to throw in a few really epic songs that might not have the edge of a “Dual of the Fates” but they just get you thinking more “epically”. For example:

  • Simple Gifts – Aaron Copeland
  • Hoppipolla – Sigur Ros
  • Ho Down – Aaron Copeland

Some mix of these songs usually gets me going. What are your favorites?
