With informed comedians like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, I’ve often wondered, can a comedian ever be President? But another good question is, can a President ever be a comedian?
With all the pressure of the office, the intense criticism, and the easily manipulated media clips, is it safe for a President to be funny? At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Obama answered that. I don’t know who wrote his speech, but I am really happy to live in a country where the President is brave enough to put himself out there and have fun. Plus he really sticks it to a bunch of people who have been idiots recently, like Donald Trump. That’s pretty fun too.
