Tonight I am staying in a Sleep Inn in Kentucky. The room is fine, everything is perfectly up to standards, and they even offer a snackish free dinner! Unfortunately for me, at the time of the dinner I was too full of BBQ from hours before to eat. So, I made a plate of vegetables, beans, a ham sandwich, and some cheese. I went up to the room, popped the plate of food into the mini fridge and left for 6 hours.
Upon my return, I was super excited for my left over meal! But OH NO!!! My food was all frozen!
The average person would have turned their head at the idea of eating the frozen meal, but I, Keith, accepted the challenge.
Here is my review of varius frozen foods.
Frozen Cucumber – Actually pretty great. I didn’t think it would be so good. A little salt would make this a really fun appetizer during the summer. The cucumber is nice and crunchy and really refreshing.
Sandwich with lightly frozen ham, cheddar cheese, mayo, dinner roll, and completely frozen cucumber – pretty ok, it was helped a lot by the cucumber, however the cucumber amidst the sandwich was a little too cold to enjoy the other flavors.
Celery – pretty good as well, as it is mostly water, it actually freezes into a nice snack. That is, if you like celery.
Carrots – Not so good. They have no crunch and no flavor to speak of. It is sort of like chewy ice that kinda tastes like carrot. I don’t recommend it for your summer frozen veggie tray.
Swiss cheese – This wasn’t too frozen really. It mostly was just swiss cheese. Pretty good though for a sleep in.
Cheddar cheese – similar results to the Swiss.
baked beans – really cold, a little crunchy, but actually not too bad at all. In fact, rather enjoyable!
This has been an amazingly uninteresting post.
