Hey Everyone! Welcome back to the FFQ! That’s “Fast Food Quest” for those of you just now joining us!
Recently (well, more like a few weeks ago) I had the pleasure of dining at the infamous Taco Bell restaurant! You may be surprised to hear this, but I had never eaten these three reviewed items before. Get ready for some excitement.
First off, I ate a Gordita!
Gordita! Fiesta! Los Muertos! What!
It was pretty ok. Not awesome, not bad. I think I would rather have a taco or something. I think I just had beef filling, so maybe it would have been better with steak or something. I don’t know. Really I guess I’m just reviewing the pitilla (pita-tortilla) that this came in. The filings are no different than any other TB item.
Hmm. Probably shouldn’t refer to them as TB items.
Whatever.
I give it 2 out of 4 pictures I took of me in a mask I found!
Next up, the best thing Taco Bell carries. The Chalupa.
it is drooling sour cream.
What do you do to make a gordita get a 4 out of 4 rating? Deep fry that Pitilla. Oh man. It was sooo much tastier than it’s unfried brother. Of course, the sour cream helped too, but the real star of this show is the wonderful texture and flavor that you experience during each bite of that fripitilla (fried-pita-tortilla)
I told you the rating already. 4 out of 4 awkward pictures I took of one of the girls who worked at the American Pickers store (Yes, that History Channel show.)
Thirdly… Ok… So, I think I ordered the Ranchero Chicken Taco, but upon review of the tacos at the TB website (again, Taco Bell not Tuberculosis), I can’t find anything that looks this lousy.
Can YOU tell me what I ate?
Whatever it was, it was underwhelming. However, that’s where the new TB sauce really changed the ball game. Introducing the “Fire Roasted” Border Salsa!

This sweet, sexy new sauce really completes everything on the TB menu in a way that you can’t imagine. It’s really quite good. It took my taco from bland to in demand!
I give whatever I ate a 1 out of 4 cool old VW truckthings.
but I give the sauce a 4 out of 4 pictures of demons (found around the American Pickers store)!!!!
I don’t trust any of those demons.
