One of the most talked about parts of last night’s Super Bowl was Christina Aguilera completely bombing our National Anthem. I’m sure she feels terrible about botching the words and screwing up the over/under in everyone’s Super Bowl pools. I’m sure she’s already taking plenty of heat for it, it’s spreading all over the Internets, and I do feel bad for how much negative attention it’s getting.
BUT NOT THAT BAD! Roll that beautiful bean footage!

But rest assured, Xtina. (Xtina? Really?) You’re not the only person to have your nerves getting the better of you when performing one of the most popular and well-known songs in American history. At least you didn’t bomb it as badly as Carl Lewis did:

And at least you were able to finish the song with some dignity:

You may have taken liberties with the set of lyrics that single-handedly embody the United States, but hey, you were still capable of singing them:

You’d rather miss the mark than have to use a cheat sheet like that no-talent ass-clown Michael Bolton:

…and you didn’t booed out of the stadium:

…or embarrass yourself at an official police ceremony:

At the end of the day, Christina, anyone can forget the lyrics to a song. Sporting events are well-attended really big deals, and even the best singers have a chance of screwing up. At least you waited until the middle of the song to mess up, unlike this chick:
