I’ve always admired those who can embrace the chaos of life and turn it into something fun at all times. The terrible mishandling of the Tonight Show was one of those situations where the chaos of life put a bunch of people in a tough spot. Conan O’Brien easily could have sat at home and waited until he was allowed to go back on television again, but he has just begun a national tour of a live show created by he and his team of writers, musicians, and crew members entitled The Legally Banned From Being Funny On Television Tour. Since he is not on television, he is taking a chance and trying new material (possibly failing), bringing old favorites to the stage, and taking performance risks by singing and playing guitar.
The following video was originally shown to me by my good friend, Tony Milazzo, and it’s an oddly poignant although imperfect version of Radiohead’s Creep by Conan O’Brien.
