The following is an excerpt from Isaac Asimov’s 2007 collection of short stories entitled iCarly. It describes the fundamental and unbreakable laws that all positronic Carlies must follow:
- A Carly may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- A Carly must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- A Carly must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
